Freddie Mac Multifamily has extended the COVID-19 forbearance program deadline to September 30, 2021. The previous extension deadline was June 30, 2021. One of the goals of the extension is to allow borrowers to extend their current forbearance agreement or request a new forbearance agreement.

If a property owner, please read what one must do to take advantage of the Freddie Mac Multifamily forbearance program as there are renter protections, including a moratorium on evictions, penalties and fees that one must agree/adhere to.
